Bokashi Kitchen Compost: Improving At-Home Recycling and Compost Efforts

Over several months, my team undertook the challenge of developing, designing, and prototyping a low-tech product that addresses a prevalent issue in the Barcelona area. After conducting numerous interviews and iterations, we created the "Bokashi Kitchen Compost," a dual-functionality composter and kitchen garbage bin that converts food scraps into usable compost while minimizing space and reducing users' carbon footprint. Our team employed Fab Lab technology, including Arduinos, 3D printing, and laser cutting, to meticulously craft this prototype.
